    Father Pierre Edward Luc, SJ

    Associate Pastor

Father Edward was born in Haiti and ordained to the diaconate in 2016 in Toronto, where he was very active in its Haitian community.  He was ordained a Jesuit priest on August 5, 2017, in Port-au-Prince.

Father is gifted, being fluent in four languages: Creole, French, Spanish and English and is earning bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and theology.  He has obtained his master’s degree in theology from Regis College, University of Toronto.

Father Edward has ministered extensively in Haiti, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, teaching and working in Jesuit religious formation.  In addition, he was National Director of the Jesuit Migrant Service in Haiti, gave retreats and provided spiritual direction. These missions were carried out with great joy and zeal.

Now living his priesthood in the diocesan clergy, Father feels he can serve the universal Church while carrying the Haitian people and the Church of Haiti in his heart.
