Welcome to St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church and thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

Our parish is located at 11 Wilson Street West (at the corner of Fiddler’s Green Road and Wilson Street) in Ancaster, Ontario. I hope our website provides you with basic information about St. Ann’s. We truly hope that your visit to our website will help you get to know us, our Catholic faith and our parish community a little better. St. Ann’s Parish was established in 1952 and was placed in the care of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, with Father William Loftus, O.M.I., serving as first pastor. The Oblates served the parish until 1979, when diocesan priests took charge.

Despite many changes over the years, we continue to maintain a “family spirit” in our parish. the faithful of St. Ann bring great vitality to the parish, especially through different ministries and active groups. There are opportunities for meeting and making friends, and for offering service to one another in the parish and to the community at large. As we perform both spiritual and corporal works of mercy, we seek to increase our love for God and our goodwill toward one another. From humble beginnings the community has grown and built a vibrant parish: like the mustard seed, we pray that we may continue to grow as the living sign of God’s Kingdom. Kindly take some time to peruse our website and view the many opportunities available to, and through, our parish community. As Pastor, I want you to know that everyone is welcome here. Come as you are! We are blessed with a dedicated parish staff and a fantastic team of volunteers who serve with joy and faith. May God bless you, and may you pray for me, just as I do for you. If you have any questions or comments after visiting our website, please feel free to contact us. We can be reached by email or, of course, we welcome a phone call or a visit in person.

- Fr. Peter Tuyen Nguyen, Pastor

From the Diocese: COVID Vaccines

The official position of the Catholic Church is that all available COVID vaccines are ethical and all Catholics who are able are encouraged to receive the vaccine.  All employees serving in the Diocese of Hamilton are encouraged to be fully vaccinated or to submit to a COVID rapid test every Monday and Thursday in order to carry out their responsibilities.  Volunteer liturgical ministers are required to be fully vaccinated.  Bishop Douglas Crosby, OMI, encourages every member of the Catholic Church within our Diocese of Hamilton to be fully vaccinated.

Family is a powerful influence in our lives. The family models and lives the gifts of love, caring, compassion, humour, kindness and patience. It is in the family that we first learn about God and grow in faith, so we regard the family as the Domestic Church, the first community of faith for each person.
